A Song Of Praise
An activity to learn to praise & thank God
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His Holy Name. – Psalm 103:1
Psalm 103 is David’s song where he testifies about every good thing he has seen God do! Not only is praising God from our heart and soul a pleasing act in the eyes of our Lord but it also serves as a reminder to what an awesome God we serve.
Objective –
To teach how to praise & thank God for the many blessings in our lives. Oft in this fast paced life, we forget or overlook God’s blessings and His protection that are with us in every step. This activity will help the kids remember all His goodness in their lives.
Activity
Start by asking the kids to write a Song of Praise like David. They can write a Psalm similar to Psalm 103 that testifies about all the good things that God did in David’s life. The kids can use personal experiences with God in their Psalm. You can also encourage them to make it more exciting by adding a tune to it.
Make sure to remind them that these are praises to God and He will be pleased with them no matter how well they can write or sing.
