To Teach About The Suit of Armor that God Has Provided Us
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. -Ephesians 6:11
Introduction:
It’s the month of July in 2020 – Another month of dealing with the menace that is COVD-19. Another month passed inside locked doors, wearing masks and gloves, washing hands a million times everday and what not!
But why?
Because there’s a virus out there waiting to find a way into our bodies. Washing hands, wearing masks or gloves are just ways to protect ourselves from the virus.
Similarly, God wants us to protect ourselves from the parasite called SIN and the schemes of the devil. And similar to the masks and the sanitisers, Jesus gave us a more powerful and foolproof armour called as the *’Armor of God’* to protect ourselves from satan’s evil schemes.
Objective
To teach about the suit of armor that God has provided us to protect ourselves from the schemes of the devil.
Activity:
Ask the children to:
1. Go through the Armor of God passage found in *Ephesians 6:10-18.*
2. Construct atleast one Armor that appeals to you most with paper or things lying at home.
3. Wear the Armor that they made and write or talk about how they use it in day-to-day life.
4. Send a pic or video wearing the armor they built
Examples/References:
If I choose the the belt of truth, I will make a cardboard belt, decorate it and speak about how I will use the Bible as my standard for truth and will always compare what I learn from books, movies, TV and friends to what the Bible—the source of truth—says.
