Goal:

To teach children that:
  1. Sin –
    • Is any thought or behavior that is contrary to the Word of God or His character.
    • Is when we do things our way instead of God’s way.
    • Hurts us and other people.
    • Separates us from God.
  2. All have sinned.
  3. There are no small sins and big sins.

The Only Door

Jesus, Our Way to Salvation

Goal:

To teach children that:
  1. God created us for a relationship—to love us and to be loved by us.
  2. Jesus is the door to salvation.
  3. Jesus saved us by taking our sins upon Himself. He sacrificed His life for us on the cross and rose again so we can boldly enter God’s presence and become His children. This act is called salvation.
  4. We are saved by believing in Jesus.

REPENTANCE

U-TURN from Sin to God

Goal:

To teach children that:
  1. Repentance is:
    • U-TURN from sin to God,
    • The act of turning away from and leaving our sins and turning to Jesus, putting our trust in Him and following Him.
  2. The goodness of God leads us to repentance.
  3. God’s desire is for all people to come to repentance.
  4. There are three steps to repentance:
    1.Recognize – that we have sinned and moved away from God
    2.Decide – to leave sin, seek forgiveness and follow Jesus
    3.Act – on what we have decided: turn to Jesus and follow Him.

THE NEW YOU

A Fresh Start in Christ

Goal:

To teach children that:
  1. We are born-again only by believing and receiving Jesus into our lives.
  2. When we are born again,
    • We are brand-new creation, and all our sins are forgiven!
    • The Holy Spirit comes to live inside us helping and teaching us to walk in the right way.
    • God gives us a new heart, a new nature and a new future with Him.
